So, we're a hard working folk. It takes a ton of effort to get through my day writing press releases, media alerts, calling busy tv producers and writing pr plans for the clients (whom i love dearly). Through this chaotic time, it's so very difficult to even have time to update my myspace, play scramble on facebook, check my email, look at people.com and nordstrom.com (simultaneously, might i add) and check out the new espn blogs.
But alas, google has thrown us a lifesaver! It's called google reader (reader.google.com - no 'www', oldschoolers). It's super easy - you use your same blogspot email account, you click "add subscription" then you copy and paste any blog address into it. Then, when you go on, all the titles of the blogs are on the left, and it is in bold with a number if it has new posts! So this morning, "Ryan and Julie's blog" was bolded and it said it had two new posts.
It's a great way to look at all the blog entries at once - pics and all -without tipping off your boss that you're totally not working at all (and never were). The only thing it misses is the formatting (so you wouldn't see my pretty blue brocade) but i'm telling all you blog newbies, you're going to get sick of clicking on everyone's separately.
Plus - let's think big, people. I have martha stewart's wedding blog, blogs from stores (a la nordstrom and small boutiques around phx - one called "paris envy" which i LUH-HUV). julie, i've found so many scrapbooking blogs and i've found so many decor blogs (one called "Brocade Home" - yes, me likey).
Anyway, just a thought! Now get back to work :)
Oh, here is a screen image of my google reader:

And by oldschoolers, you mean Mom, right?? :o)
Yes, mom. ;)
you don't need a www for anything, as it turns out :)
i know - hahaha! now get back to work! Oh, yes, I probably should too...
yah, that work thing really gets in the way doesn't it?? Someone please win the Lotto and share, ok?
i may be old school, GIRLS....ahem...but i am getting better....even i knew i didn't have to put www on stuff. So there. ;0
uh huh...
OK, just signed up for Google Reader and it was super easy! And it's great cuz I can see new posts with a click of a button. Only bummer is you can't see if there are any new comments unless you click on the post in Google Reader and it takes you to the actual blog post.
Oh, and Mom just called and goes "I don't get what she's talking about with that Reader thing". I said go to the link and I think it might be pretty self-explanatory, or explained in Kelley's blog. Sure enough... :o)
hahaha. whatever
